[RTTY] Ten Meter Contest

The problem, though, is that BARTG have mixed categories with this expert
approach. If you are a SO1R Low Power station in the SOAB entry class and
do well, you are forced into the SOE (SO Expert) entry class with the SO2R
High Power stations the following year, even though you don't have that
capability. There you pay your penance by getting trounced by the SO2R High
Power stations, then the third year you can go back to SOAB with your SO1R
Low Power station.

Doesn't seem so well thought out to me.

Ray

BARTG contests are handicapped in that if you do well in a previous BARTG
contest then you have to be in the expert category. This is "experts"
compete against each other leaving room for the less expert to compete with
each other. But then you become an expert if you do reasonably well.

Hi - I submitted my ONE point (1 Q w/W0LSD) log just now. Maybe we should
consider applying a "handicap" as in golf or bowling...if we do that, I
might be competitive next year. Har! Some had 5 or 6! And one with 23!!!
Jeez..

Only heard/saw 1 signal for the whole period (W0LSD) - took a full minute to
get it done.
