[RTTY] "QRL?" is a trick question on RTTY!

So often I have just sent my exchange to a station and waiting for the 
response and I get a QRL? and 500ms later CQ from the station sending 
QRL? obliterating the response I was listening for. The QRL? station now 
thinks he is entitled to the frequency.
