[RTTY] Additional Thoughts on Serial Number Repeats

I have no problem with someone replying to me sending my callsign. It confirms to me that they’ve got it correct - Sometimes it does happen that they’ve made a mistake. My short callsign is M7P and I’ve been called SM7P a few times. I know that won’t lose me any points but if they’ve got it wrong, it’s a busted call on their side.

I always send my report three times. If I send it twice and the other station gets some corruption, they’ll need to ask for a repeat. If I send it three times, there’s a good chance that two will be the same.
