[RTTY] After the tough qso

Despite the quoted definition below of the X-QSO: Cabrillo tag, it is not
"ignored". In fact, the whole point of X-QSO: is that the QSO is
cross-checked with the log of the QSO partner. But the X-QSO: is just not
scored, or penalized, in your own log.

Secondly, what is written below about WriteLog is only true for version
12.21 and earlier. Starting with 12.22, a "unclaimed" QSO is included in
the Cabrillo log as an X-QSO: line.

X-<anything>: text
Lines beginning with X- are ignored by the robot and log checking software.
Use this for adding comment lines to your log. Exception: See X-QSO below.

X-QSO: qso-data
Any QSO marked with this tag will be ignored in your log. Use to mark QSOs
made that you do not want to count toward your score.

Just tried this with writelog and the CW DX contest log. Marked a QSO as
"Unclaimed"
In past and today, writelog does NOT write that qso to the Cabrillo file

To make it fair to the guy that made a qso but I'm not sure:
This requires the side note pad. For example: P4/K9RS & I finished the
qso but not sure (at 2359 and no time for dupe it)
I don't want him to lose the qso but I'm not sure
Log it - make a note to X it and manually edit the Cabrillo file after the
contest....

Seems like path

OR if P5/W5AJ shows up in the contest and I'm working QRP
On comes the Amp, work him and then mark it unclaimed "X" for my score

Close?

Thanks for the continuing education guys!

I'm heading for VY0 in the morning, and I should be on with VY0ERC for the
NAQP RTTY. Some of you may have worked VE1RUS who is currently on site, as
VY0ERC during WPX.
