[SCCC] SCCC Club Score

I'd like to join in in complete agreement.

During this past contest we had high scores from two ex-SCCC members,
N6TR and N6ZZ.
If we had the need to win this club competition -- i.e., if there was
an SECC dynasty ongoing
and numerous hams wished to see the dynasty challenged, it would have
been no problem to
get those two high scores on the list in place of two lower scores.
For this contest, N6VR
had a visit from Murphy that cut into his score quite a bit. And, for
this contest one of our
team 1 entrants was in the low power category. It would not have been
difficult, if we were
motivated to challenge a dynasty, to produce a much improved score.
The SCCC members
who did represent the club did a great job.

On the other hand, the SECC group was made up from the top contesters
in 5 call districts.
Not a club, but a loose assembly of hams from all over the country
that was formed for the
express purpose of challenging the SCCC. And we nonetheless were
nearly able to defeat
their challenge (would have if we had full representation). It would
be easy to envision the
defeat by the SCCC of this hand-picked group listed as the SECC on the
next outing. It
was a great club effort!
