I received a Thank You note from Tony KF6SXY, an aspiring cw Op and contestor
I invited him over my QTH during WPX CW last weekend. It was the first time
he had seen a contest in action. Tony headed home Saturday late Saturday
afternoon to try his luck from a meager station at home.
I am sure his note makes many of us flash back to the days we first
tried contesting and were possibly still struggling with our code speed.

Hello Dennis,
Thank you for the ride along at your house this weekend. I had a great time
and after I left I managed to get one full exchange and attempted to make 45
more. The closest partial one I got was a Japanese station that got the
first four on the first pass and the next letter on the second pass but then
went back to calling CQ. Still exciting though to almost make a full
contact.
I've been practicing with the DX CW simulator from www.bbcyber.com since
yesterday and having a great time and finding it easier and easier to catch
call signs on the second or third pass now. It's the really long call signs
that take some effort but every little bit of practice helps.
