Hi Bill,
Where does the 175 mile radius for the SCCC originate from?
Reason I ask is I see many Northern Nevada Hams post their contest scores on the
reflectors showing membership in the NCCC so the club gets the points.
I still haven't figured out the distance rule as far as the SCCC goes. I
used to submit my contest logs showing SCCC as my club when I was K6ACZ in So.
CA. Now that I am in Las Vegas am I still within the distance limits to still
be part of the SCCC?
Jeff, WK6I, was kind enough to send me a program to calculate the distance but I
need a starting point on your end. For example, if the starting point was
Barstow the distance would be 152 miles and I would be within 175 miles, if it
was Riverside the distance would be 194 miles and I would be out of range.
I would like to be able to have my contest scores count towards the SCCC totals
if possible. There is no contest club here in Vegas for me to help out.
I could even try to recruit W7EB and W6SA, both formerly from Southern CA, who
are also Vegas contesters to help out the club scores.
CU in Visalia next year.
