WOW! Great response from the club! Thanks you for everyone's input.

I'd say the majority pointed to Write Log, but to be honest, John's (K6AM)
19 page report on Write Log is a bit scary. Here is how they ranked...

Contesting:
   Write Log
   N1MM (VERY popular!)
   TRLog
   CT

General Logging/Award Tracking:
   DX4WIN
   DXBase
   Logic (only mentioned)

BUT, I received a very enthusiastic report for one software package that
appears to do both. I went to eHam and read the 65 reviews. Out of 65
reviews, the chance of it remaining a 5 out of 5 is not expected, but it DID!

Its called ACLog by N3FJP.

Only LoTW had more reviews!

I have the advantage of not being familiar with other products (other than
CT for Field Day). I'm going to give ACLog a look as it is inexpensive,
supported very well, and seems to have a huge following. I gave much
thought to the fact that its much easier to walk into a multi station if
you already know how to run the software being used. Then I thought, who
would ever invite me over to operate a multi?! And, if I was that good, I
would be able to pick up any software package. Besides, according to
John's report, every configuration of Write Log can be different to suit
the operator.

So thanks for all the initial help, I'm going to spend about $50.00 for
both packages rather than close to $200.00 for Write Log and DX4WIN. A
Rookie needs to start somewhere! :-)

73!
