Comments:
I was not planning to get on the air much for this one. I was hoping to
squeeze in an hour or two over the course of the day. After adding up my
log time, I see I put in just over 5 hours altogether. Did alright. I made
more Q's than I thought I would. Heard a lot of familiar calls. It was nice
to work many of you again & hear the voices associated with the dit's &
dah's of last week. I was also kind of cool to have some of the contester's
recognize my call from prior contests or a QSL card & give quick hello's.
I called CQ a lot more this time & it was nice getting calls from SD & a
couple of other new multipliers. I heard W6QE on 80 meters in the evening
calling CQ. I tried hard to get his attention but all he could hear was
"Charlie" from my call. He tried to pull out my call, apologized & said to
try later but, I never got back on. Speaking of Charlie, I almost pulled off
the "W6KK Sweep" & got him on all bands except 160.
I should have signed up for a team, next time I will go ahead & just get on
one & then see how the busy weekend schedule works out. Oh well, A fun time
on the air.
