I remember Bill from Anaheim RACES. Great guy, nice station, nice
car..........
He was up on the hill, I was below him in a condo, same zip code. Sold
the 1000 sq ft condo for $245,000, bought a 2000 sq ft home in the
outskirts of Henderson, NV, a suburb of Las Vegas on the way to Boulder
City with a big lot for $200,000. Now have a tower, beam, and sloper
for low beams. Now able to run with the big boys, can't pass them, but
can stay in the running at the back of the pack.
From my condo in Anaheim I used a MFJ 36 inch loop ant disguised as a
TV antenna to get past the HOA. Worked pretty good for what it was. I
also had a Cushcraft R-8000 vert but the loop was much, much better on
10~20 than the vert.
