SCCC,

As the string of messages below will show, I contacted VU2PTT and
basically told him to - get in touch when he gets here, and we will do
something.

His trip is delayed.

Whenever he gets here, I will attempt to arrange an SCCC meeting.

Is anyone interested in a meeting on Sunday, July 15th? It would be
the afternoon when the IARU contest ends in the early morning.

73,

Dick, N6AA

Dick

My trip is delayed and I will be reaching CA only towards the end of
July thus missing IARU. Will keep you posted on my final travel plan
and hope I may be able to operate the WAE while I am out there :)

I shall have most of my old contest logs on my laptop and will also carry QSL cards, just in case someone requires a QSL card for any of our old QSOs. Most of my contest activity has been inclusive and prior to CQWW CW 1998 in which I was AT2PTT (Also was AT0PTT in 1998). Subsequently I was off the air for about 8 years building a family and career, till I managed to save enough for a rig and got an IC-746pro in September 2006. A non-ham friend got me a Sigma-5 Vertical and that's my station for now. I should now start saving to buy a beam and an amp, maybe look for some used ones when I am there in CA. Although I love to brew my own , I am fairly certain that work and family pressures will not let me do that for a long time to come.
