[SCCC] fire update N6ND

I reached Rick, N6ND in Ramona by phone Monday.  Only way was 
ATT/Cingular cellphone-to-cellphone.  None of his LL are working, and 
his wireless internet connection is also gone.  My LL to his 
cellphone also did not work, so ATT has some tie-in issues up there too.

The house is ok, but some immediate neighbors lost homes and/or barns 
(within 1/8 - 1/4 mile of him).  Rick surmises that fire crews were 
up there and probably concentrated on saving homes but not 
outbuildings.  Next-door neighbor Dan, KB5MY, and Lynn evacuated 
safely to family somewhere and their place is also ok.

Rick lost his barn, chock-full of stuff including a tractor.  He said 
the tractor now is sitting on it's steel rims, not a trace of rubber left.

He mentioned he had some old Motorola Mitrec (or similar) radios in 
there, and all those huge heatsinks just melted down into a puddle.

The Santa Ana winds broke the outer section of his 40m boom, and so 
the reflector ended up in the road, far from the house.
