Tom
I just built up a new PC. I wanted to ditch as many wires as possible so bought a Logitech LX710 from Newegg. I put the PC online 21 December. Have not changed batteries in either kbd or mouse yet.

The unit comes with a USB extender for the USB rf interface. I have not had to use that yet. I just plugged the interface into a rear panel USB and it worked.
Note: On WinXP I did not have to install any of the Logitech software that comes with the LX710 on a CD. It worked as soon as I plugged it in. The included software looks to be bloatware when all I need is a keyboard and mouse.
In the same room as the shack I have had no RFI in either direction. So far this unit scores 4.0 out of 4.0 with me.

Anyone know of a good wireless keyboard that is as compact
and simple as possible with **normal size big function
keys** and also a good simple wireless mouse? One that has
good battery life, meaning it will run for a whole weekend
without needing recharged?
It isn't imperative the keyboard be wireless, but it is
required that it have normal function keys!!!
Or am I asking too much?
