[SCCC] N1MM and CQP

In my log, the first DX station worked was an NP4
and he does NOT show as a mult (it was entered as "DX").
Loren, below I've pasted-in what I just posted on
the N1MM reflector on the CQP topic.

from MM reflector:
I think you meant "does NOT score properly."
I agree with Rick, but after digging in the MM
manual I think the program works as intended. I
opened the K6NA/N6ED log from CQP. Craig did
work all the mults possible for a CA station
(58), but the Mult window shows "57 of 58" mults
worked, and the CA box remains empty. Scrolling
the log, to where he worked his first CA county,
the log line says NO in the mult column.
Further, the score-summary window shows 57
mults. If I use the QPoints shown there, and
multiply by 57, I indeed get the displayed
score. If I multiply by 58, I get a higher
score-- which should be the real score. This was using Ver 8.9.0.
Rick, in Sections 48.3 and 49.5 of the current
manual, there is a disclaimer regarding scoring
anomalies in some of the QSO Parties. There is a
specific note about the Florida party in 49.5,
which is similar to the CA party in that a CA
station doesn't get credit for CA counties, but
should get credit for the state. The note
suggests that in-state entrants change the first
FL county exchange to FL instead of the county,
and then the score displays correctly. This
works in my current log after Rescore, although
the Mult window never updates to show CA
worked. Of course you need to edit your Cabrillo
file after this to show the county again (instead
of CA) so your exchange is accurate on your
submitted log. It's likely the sponsor's log
-checking software gives you CA credit when you
show your first CA county 4-letter exchange, so
their scoring should be correct.
The manual should probably be updated with a
work-around note for in-state CA participants ,
similar to that mentioned for the popular Florida party.
