[SCCC] SCCC Takes Top Club Honors in ARRL UHF Test

2009 was the inaugural year for Affiliated Club Competition in the ARRL UHF Contest, held each August, and SCCC captured the first Medium Club gavel with an aggregate score of nearly 2.8 million points, besting second-place Northern Lights Radio Society by over a million points!  

SCCC members also swept the rover categories.  W6TE (+K6MI) took first place among Unlimited Rovers, W6YLZ topped the country in the Limited Rover category, and the top six "classic" rovers were all SCCC'ers, led by N6NB, W6TAI and W6XD in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
