[SCCC] Field Day

Hi, Randy.

I advise against hooking the PV panels directly to your gear. The open-circuit voltage can be in excess of 20 volts. That could fry your QRP rig. At least have a battery in the circuit, and a charge controller would be a good addition if you can get one.

I thought I would try a little solar experimenting for my batteries this
Field Day and actually operate direcly off them, maybe, as I will be QRP.

Does anyone have a spare panel just sitting around that I could borrow it?

Kinda silly to buy something you use 1 day per year!
