Comments:
I keep trying to break pass records for myself. Must stop doing this. Takes a lot time that could be used to make Q's.
My record for WAS is 5 hours (during Calif. QSO Party). Took 5.5 hours this time. SC - was the tuff one. Took
over 40 minutes to track one down.
The other record for Sweepstakes - working 80 sections. Took 10 hours this time. Spent an hour looking for WPA.
The problem doing this type of operation - by the end of the first 10 hours, I hand only 250 Q's. Most of the locals were
already pass 600 plus.
So Sunday, went for the Q's. Lots of CQing. worked 550 Q's in 6 hours. Many times working 3 Q's per minute. Not
bad for the Sweepstakes exchange. Without worrying about working the Sections, 68 sections called in. Maybe next year, I will go for
the score.
15 meters - some of the W0's were almost full scale S-meter readings. Lots of 40 over 9 from W4 land. Trying to get some action
going on 10 meters. But response from my CQ's.
Rig: IC-7800 - Acom 2000A, SteepIR at 40 feet, with 40 meter. 80 meters - 100 feet of 300 ohm feed line - with no antenna attach.
Lost my inverted V during the last contest operation.
Now, on to CQ WW CW contest. My record for working 100 countries (CQ WW SSB) stands at 9 hours. Should go for Q's this time.
