[SCCC] Visalia Survey

Just to satisfy my personal curiosity how many on this reflector knew that a
survey was in the works? The SCDXC board, The 2010 Convention Committee, and
The NCDXC board had no idea. The only people we have not asked are the
contest clubs. What is the purpose of the survey? Common courtesy would
accommodate notifying the people who are in the middle of putting the
convention on that this survey was going to hatched less than two months
from the event! We are getting emails asking all kinds of questions. Some of
us are busting our butts to get things together and many have been doing it
for decades. Do you think we should have at least been given the opportunity
to looked over the survey and give comment or am I being too authoritarian
and controlling by assuming the people doing the work have some minute
amount of control over what happens?
 
For the record both boards of the SCDXC and the NCDXC oppose this survey not
because a survey is a bad idea. It is this survey and how it was presented.
