[SCCC] Visalia Survey

I'm there, too. I did take the survey - I guess I wasn't trying to "see
through" what was going on. I *do* think that the venue is really stretched
to its limit - lodging, exhibit space, conference rooms, seating for the
banquet, etc. But I also think that the desired contact and "chemistry" is
there. One can renew an old acquaintance for as long as one wants to, just
do a "bounce off" with someone you haven't seen in a long time, or shake
hands with someone "almost famous." Besides the demographics dictate that
this will become a smaller convention over time - like it or not. The real
survey that needs to be taken is maybe 2 questions: 1) are you happy with
the Visalia DX convention experience overall, and 2) what would you suggest
for improvements?

Subject: Re: [SCCC] Visalia Survey
I am another one who was wondering what the reason for the survey is. The
questions were all couched in a way to satisfy some dissatisfaction with
the International DX Convention. The only opportunity to affirm
satisfaction with the current IDXC was in the remarks section.
I have been attending Visalia for about the last seven years and find it to
be the best convention of the year. I am foremost an avid contester who
pursues a mixed all band DXCC. "What's not to like?"
I appreciate all the work that goes into making it a great get-together.
Thanks.
