I use PVC irrigation tubing fittings of a size to accommodate the
cables. My current penetrations are a pair of 4 inch fittings. I cut a
hole to fit ordinary PVC irrigation pipe. I use 22-1/2 degree elbows
inside and out serving three purposes. Holds the through pipe in place,
keeps the weather out, and directs the cables toward their targets. The
fittings also come in 11, 45, and 90 degrees. The sharper angles too
sharp for coax in my opinion.
Cutting the hole looks hard. Its not. Get the pipe. Scribe a circle.
Drill a bunch of holes around the circumference. Use a keyhole saw to
finish the cutout. Make sure the hole will just clear the pipe, but will
not clear the fittings, then it all stays in place.
Filling the excess space with ordinary rags and a bit of stainless steel
wool keeps the critters out.
A benefit is there are no sharp edges such as with sheet metal vent
fittings. The pipe is simple to cut with a hacksaw - but for a really
spiffy cut use an abrasive cutting blade for an ordinary 6 or 7 inch
electric saw. Very little refuse and a smooth cut.
This is simple to use whether horizontal or vertical.

Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to set us off !
