[SCCC] QSL via the buro?

Tim,

I think blasting cards out for all of your DX QSO's via the buro is called "Auto-QSLing". What might be a reward for a DX station the first time,
might me an inconvenience the second time, and just a pain in the neck after that. So, you might want to limit the number of times you do this.

That said, the easiest way to auto-QSL would be through Global QSL at www.globalqsl.com . First, you need to design your full-color card image.
Then buy credits at the cost of $99 per 1000. Then upload your log via an ADIF file, and they print your QSL's and send them out to the bureaus.
Remember - no USA cards, unless they are a manager for DX.

One moderate speed, moderate system I use is the WF5E outgoing QSL manager. The cost is 50 cents per card. Cards arrive back via the buro usually
in 9 to 18 months.

One way to cut costs on direct QSLing is to go in with a local friend. That cuts the cost in half.

I totally agree with John WA6L in his approach. I drag my feet on the LOTW, and QSL direct for new ones.

73 & Gud DX QSL's,

Tim K6GEP
