Hey Kurt,

I went to school with Steve N8SM/WD8IXE at Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio. 
He was a few years ahead of me in the EE program there. I am not 
surprised that you couldn't squeeze any more performance out of one of 
his designs. Steve was a really talented antenna engineer and a fierce 
competitor.  I am sad every time I think about what happened to him. I 
am sure he would be proud to know that you were using one of his designs 
and that it was "kicking butt".

Good luck this weekend with your operation. Unfortunately, due to 
circumstances beyond my control I'll probably be stuck down here in the 
black hole that is my home QTH in Tujunga.
