Hi Bruce, I use Win-Test here. There are several factors in the decision and the following comments are not in anyway to be construed as a negative comment to another program. I operate single op in many contests utilizing two computers. There are occasions when we do a multi, multi two or multi single operation. I am using windows 98 machines to accommodate Dos programs including CT and TR for certain contests. Sometimes,in the multi situations, there are sometime six or more computers,
I have utilized writelog several years ago. Two years ago, I loaded over 20,000 qso's into n1mm, writelog and wintest. I was especially looking for slow response times, ability for a newcomer to be able to use the program, crashes and all the other joys that bless us during a contest.
Wintest was the clear winner for this station and all its requirements. It has never failed(check with me Monday, after making this statement). It is easy to move log files to LOTW and the station log for qsling. Last but not least, its like good slippers, we all need our own right fit.
