[SCCC] RF Exposure

RF Exposure 

 

I have a question to the board that I am hoping can be explained to me so I
can understand, from what I have read so far.it's way above my head as a new
ham.  


I have put together a vertical - MFJ-1796, which I painted to match the
color of my apartment complex, that I will be place a couple feet away from
my apartment complex behind a tree to maintain the covert operation.  

 

The question I have is if this is dangerous at all to the folks above me on
the second floor?  The building is stucco with the chicken mesh which I have
been told might help prevent RF exposure to my neighbors above me.  In the
end, I have no other place to put the vertical and do not want to put any of
them at risk to RF exposure.

 

The mast is 8' tall and the antenna is 15 feet tall.  The bottom hat is
right at the 8' mark.  This means the top of the antenna is above there roof
level.
