Better in N Cal . . w/ 150 watts. . . 42 states worked, missing: NH, RI,
MD, SC, FL, MS, WV, ND [MS, ND and of course FL heard]. . PJ2 and VP2M v.
easy. ZF2 a huge struggle, but made it. ZF2AH was persistent and courteous
far beyond the call of duty. Didn't even try FG5CD. Early, rate meter
was over 100 for brief periods on 1806. Ended w/ 62 mults and about 225
Q's. Last year, 63 mults and 170 Q's for same time period but w/ no
Beverage.

30 min pre-sunset, VY2ZM was S9 on the Eu Beverage w/ noise at the floor --
maybe strongest stn on band, easily worked; noise increased later, then
subsided about 0800Z. Nary a JA, UA, ZL or VK heard in the 0800-1100Z time
slot. Fair W1 peak at E. Coast sunrise provided some insurance New England
mults plus W2GD, who was surprisingly weak. Missing easy mults MDC and
EPA.

Eq: Inv L with 80 ft vert, about fifteen 67-ft radials on the ground and a
Beverage pointed roughly NNE, remote from Tx antenna.
