Woke up about 1:30AM local time Sunday morning and put in about 45 
minutes. Conditions seemed pretty good and I was riding high after 
working a string of east coast stations with only 1 or 2 calls. Then I 
got my balloon deflated when I tried to ride N6AA's coattails into 
KP4KE's log. KP4KE couldn't even tell I was calling him (what are you 
running over there, Dick?). Went back to bed feeling demoralized about 
KP4KE around 2:30 AM. Got back up at around 5:30 AM and put in another 
15 minutes or so before heading up to the high desert to check the 
mousetraps at the remote site where I was greeted by a broken water pipe 
spraying water into the front yard. Fortunately the broken pipe was easy 
to fix and there was no serious damage.
