Swept band and then found a
spot and was having a fair amount of success when W3BI changes modes from
J-something or other and tells me that I have to move...it's apparently
THEIR frequency for that mode or something. Now I know that there are
various spots that one 'should know about' but give me a break! How many
mode types are 'assigned' exclusivity rights and if they all claim 2kHz
(plus bandwidth for other mode parameters) we will be back to CB channelized
radios.

These frequencies are not like those silly net "I own this freq" on 20, 40 and
75.
PSK and JT65-HF are pretty much restricted to 'their' frequencies to make
contacts. Especially JT65-HF. When operating RTTY I just stay away from
anything ending in 070 or 076. I try to stay above 080 when in a run mode.
I'm not much for using these modes, but anything that can cram 30 ongoing
QSO's in 3kHz ain't too bad.
