NOTES:
Where do I start...The band were GRRRRRRATE!! Well the higher ones anyway. 40/80/160 were
really slow for me. Did work EU and a few AFs but didn't get any good runs on 40. Not much to be
had on 80/160. BUT with the killer action on 20 and 15 I didn't miss them.
Friday nite things started out fast but Saturday morning I had touble getting any real numbers.
Then at 1930Hrs it was "Katy bar the door" Things really went nuts and continued till the end.
15 was the hot one! Worked 12 new countries and a ton of band/mode stuff. It was open early and
closed late with EU even in the late afternoon. The same for 20. Sunday morning 15 was SRO! An
S&P dream just sliding up the band and popping them off at a good rate. Find a spot and work a
run or two and back to S&P. The action was spotty on 10M Saturday but was pretty good Sunday.
I worked the D4 there. No AS but a few VKs and a lot of SA.
I had one heart-stopper! Thought I was called by EP9 !! There were a ton of "E" calls out there
sooo it could have been and it took several times to get it straight . Nope DP9. I guy can dream.
I did like having a D4 claw through a small pileup to get me. Sweet. I beat my personal best 2009
by 390K points and 200 WPX with 76 less Qs
The action was great with lots and lots of exotic calls out. Lots of cheerleaders too. Maybe I was
hasty you can...could make me sweat BUT not this time. The spot at the end really lite off a great
run that pushed me over the 1K.
The only problem is this cold/flu "the bug that's going around" thing. I'm still hacking up furballs.
Almost lost my voice so had some SueBee on the desk. It came in handy.
The Lads were quite for the most part but its bark to live and live to bark. Several station remarked
on the "multi-op" (barking) action they heard.
See ya'll at IDXC.
