Operating on the MARS net in Europe from 1960 - 1964 did it for me. I was AE1AUG in Augsburg Germany. We handled a ton of messages on CW.

Yes I know. I NCS the National Traffic System Pacific Area Net on
Wednesdays. (K6YR is net manager.)
PAN has a good night if we have total traffic of fifteen. No one is going to
increase his code speed with those traffic counts.
