Well darn!  I went to our 2nd QTH in Goldfield, NV in a rare grid square; with a shiny new callsign and newly installed 5-element beam for 6 meters.  Condx were pretty good on Friday night before the contest - worked a dozen or so guys back east, plus my first ever FSK441 Meteor Scatter contacts on Friday morning.   
 
Then along came Saturday - didn't make my first QSO for almost 2 hours!  And except for 1 hour on Saturday evening (around 0100Z), the band was pretty much white noise, or strange backscatter stuff.  With 100 watts I had very limited success working weak guys.  Guess I need more "goo," but better band condx would have been nice!  On to next year, I guess.....
 
I gave DM17 as a new grid to quite a few people and, hey, I'm just "here to serve!"
