Bob calls it "40 years of unfocused collecting."  It's primarily technology-oriented, as you might expect of a long-time ham.  Please have a look at the video and judge for yourself.

Trying one more time...

Bob WB6SLC has a private museum in Torrance.  If the membership is
interested in seeing the collection, I'm sure he could be persuaded to host
a meeting.  Here's a video to whet your appetites:

Jim and all,

For the last few years, SCCC meetings have usually been attached to another
event that a decent number of us attend.

*There are two meetings scheduled in the near future:*

*1)* Meeting at K6NA's in Valley Center, on Sunday, August 11 at 12 noon, as
recently announced by K6AM.
It is in conjunction with the SDDXC-SCDXC Summer "Bash."

Map is at - http://www.scdxc.org/bash.html

*2)* Meeting at the Marriott Hotel in Buellton, on Saturday, September 7, at
a time to be announced. It will be part of the ARRL Southwestern Division
Convention, and essentially the Contest Forum.

Convention details will follow.

If other meetings get scheduled, they will be announced here.

*SCCC President Needed*

The present SCCC president has also been the ARRL Southwestern Division
Director for the past 9 or so years, and it would be a good idea to elect
someone SCCC president who can concentrate more on SCCC. For instance, I
used to organize a few other meetings a year.

Note that former president Will Angenent, now K6ND, had to move to
Massachusetts before someone took over.

A reasonable requirement for the office
would be a desire to organize a
couple meetings per year. If you would consider the task, please let me
know. We can have an election at the August 11 meeting.

*Meeting Hosts Needed*

If anyone would be willing to host a meeting, either at his/her QTH or
elsewhere, also please let me know.

Note that the traffic in the Los Angeles area is so congested at commuter
times in the evening that we have had our meetings on Saturday or Sunday.

Thanks.

73,

Dick, N6AA
