[SCCC] Competitive Contest Comparison - Flex vs Elecraft

Hi, Howard.

Thanks; I am aware of all those points. That's why I used K9CT's station as
a contrast point. And a contest DXpedition is not one for which we charter
an icebreaker or spend a week at sea. It's a radio in an airline carry-on
with room left for travel essentials and an SS amp in the suitcase with
clothes packed around it. As part of a multi-op, I don't need SO2R; I sit
on one band for the weekend.

I'm just saying that each brand may be better for one application or
another, one operator or another, that both offer great performance, and
that we are fortunate to have such choices available.

73,

Marty N6VI

You guys are likely unaware of couple of points

1. The Flex 6600M is a complete stand alone box that includes knobs and
does not need an external computer '2. Every Flex Radio is SO2R without the
need to buy a second radio and external filters so for a SO2R configuration
it's substantially less expensive 3. Bouvet Island Dxpedition is 100% Flex
Radio 4. K9CT Contest station and several others are now 100% Flex
