[SCCC] Problem getting N3FJP contest software to key the IC-7300 voice keyer

I have a problem getting N3FJP contest software to key the IC-7300 voice
keyer. (Which it is supposed to do.)

I have only one USB cable going from my laptop to the 7300. (I am not using
a CI-V cable.)  I've got the Rig Interface to work in reading the frequency
and the mode on the laptop, as well as the 7300 voice keyer to work on its
own by touching the button on the 7300 screen, but I can't get my laptop to
key the radio. Any suggestions, anyone?

I've read the instructions very carefully and have searched for the problem
on the web. Nothing.
