Tiny contribution to team score: 1056 points. Unless they scrub a
few, as I think I botched a name or two.

Disappointing to only get a couple of hours in, but station
improvements since late winter have been great and further progress
will be made, so looking forward to better forays in future tests as
the potential is developed at this QTH.

I S&P'ed less than a dozen of the loudest stations on 20m during
daylight hours. RFI during daylight on 20 is bad. Spent some time
with HB RFI snooping gear and identified 3 different houses to knock
on doors. (My first walk with the portable found one, but I'm
practicing and getting better at this craft as well.) A bit of
reading on the topic has left me very optimistic about being able to
get RFI down to an acceptable level.

Late start in the evening meant that I missed whatever was left on 20m
after the solar power RFI subsided. Pulled the 20m whips and hooked
up the 40m inverted vee to the pushup mast. The last 2 hours in a 10
or 12 hour contest may not have been helpful, but there were stations
to work. I need to develop my S&P skills for sure. (Sure waterfall
and/or spots help, but there's Iroom for improvement without those as
well.) Nice that I can call and produce some QSOs, though. 8P5A
didn't want to slow down, so I left him alone. I worked a VT station
for best DX. Worked a fair scattering across the US & CAN, but the
single hop usual suspects dominated the log as always.

Best regards,

Drew
