Good job, Dana!
I couldn't be active this time due to out of town family house guests
here for a few days... you know how it goes, sometimes.
Here's a little trick I've been doing the past few years, that might
be interesting to others on the list too. Actually, I'm sure some
others are doing a variant of this already.

I don't know your whole situation there... but one thing I've been
doing occasionally in the shack, to break up the sitting periods,
is to stand up at the desk. Especially in Run-mode, because I don't
have to tune the knob very much. Maybe reach for the RIT, once in a while...

A Vari-Desk would be nice... but most of us have a mature station
installation at a standard desk height. When I need a break from the chair,
I stand up... put a small cardboard box on the desk, taped tightly
closed for stability. This elevates the keyboard to the height I
want, and I wear my headset with long-enough cord. I leave the
CW paddle lower on the desk because mostly everything is done from
the keyboard now.... paddle is only needed occasionally.

While CQing and standing, and working guys, I even do leg-lifts
(walk-in-place) sometimes, to stimulate leg circulation and flex the
knees. So I might do the standup trick for only 20-25 minutes, but
when I get back in the chair I feel refreshed and ready to sit for a
while again.

I remember reading years ago about Donald Rumsfeld (SecDef) and his
Pentagon office routine. He had a 15-20ft wide, curved desk, at
stand-up working
height, and there was NO chair. He spent the entire day standing,
moving along that curved work-surface, dealing with different
projects positioned in discreet piles, and
never sat down at all.
