The first hint of Fall is the return of pumpkin spice flavored item at
Coffee Shops and on supermarket shelves.  The next sign is the return of the
Fall VHF Sprints, and they are here this weekend!

The first one of the season is on 6 meters this Saturday Aug 22  from 2300z
(4PM local) to 8PM (0300z Sunday).  Only 4 hours!
This is a great chance to test out your station for the September VHF
contest, which is the weekend after Labor Day.
Again, I hope for SSB contacts, but will make FT8.   Can we at least try FT4
on 50.318 for local contacts this time?  This is a great time to experiment.

It will still be blazing hot, but I plan to rove from 2 grids - DM13 in
Diamond bar, and DM14 somewhere close.

Any plans from the local SOTA people?

Hope to hear you on, and maybe we will get a band opening out of it.
