[SCCC] Arizona consideration

This is really a lesson on finding suitable property.  N6WIN has a super station north of Wickenburg. Before he bought the property, he went to the Yavapai County offices in Prescott to check on the ordinances and regulations.  They were all straight forward and no onerous requirements.  Plans and inspections were required but no ordinances against antenna structures or restrictions on height.  He did everything right.  There were neighbors who tried to stop him but he had done his homework and he put up three 130 foot towers.  He has since made peace with his neighbors by helping in the community.  The reason he picked this area was his wife's father lived in the vicinity.
The lesson is due diligence.  If you find a piece of property check the ordinances and restrictions before you buy or make it a condition in a purchase agreement which I don't recommend.  In Tim's case he is just a mile or so from Maricopa County which would have been disastrous for putting up an antenna. 73, Kurt W6PH
