The poll had Gonset(!!!), Hallicrafters, Hammarlund, and Heathkit... but left out JOHNSON???!!! I bet far more of us started out with Johnsons, than all of those first three combined! It was years before I could even find one of those others that I could afford! I still rember going to Henry Radio on Olympic Blvd. and slobbering over the very few that were on the used-equipment shelf. OHHH, the shame of it all, to be so forgotten;  RIP, E. F. Johnson... =8-/
