Thanks Ryan. The USB audio from the computer is set to 100%. I run WSJT-X on the same computer.

I do not have this experience, but as a computer geek I'd expect the adjustments would need to be made on the computer's sound output levels.  This is similar, in my mind, to how FT8 operates.  The output volume is driven by the computer's output sound levels.
