[SCCC] CM500 Headset

Thanks for the responses so far. Apparently the CM500 is no longer
manufactured. I see on Amazon a seller has a few but apparently they don't
come with the inline battery thing that is required for an electret. My
101MP does not have the settings that the Elecraft has to go to an electret
mic. Yes, apparently I could build a cable and pluck 5 volts off the mic
connector but I'm lazy. Not sure if I want to do that. Might though. I know
you guys love your CM500s. 

Anyone have experience with the Inrad W1 or the Heil PSE-6 Pro-set Elite?  I
have an older Pro-set Plus and have really liked it over the years. It
seemed like the speakers in it were getting tinny and lower output when I
used that headset during CQWW CW.

In an earlier thread, several of you said you were using the Yamaha CM500
headset. I see that has an electret mic. What are you using to power it?
Plucking it from your radio? Did you have to wire a special cable?
