[SCCC] My LOTW issue, one more concern / thought

At this point, I'm going to suggest something drastic than my last email of trying the restore functions and the load a cert functions.  I don't know if you got that email or not, but the computer doesn't matter.  I've used the same cert file on 3 linux boxes and 3 windows machines over the last few years including a re-install two days ago.

Do you still have the old hard drive?  If you do, look into data recovery companies.  They cost a pretty penny, but they open up your drive in a sterile environment and can recover data from the platters themselves if the drive is damaged.  They can also run forensic tools to recover data if the drive is accessible.

It's not cheap and it is time-consuming.  But at this point, it may be the most efficient way to recover your password files and your certs.
