[SCCC] Running an Elecraft K3/0-Mini Via USB Cable

I have a K3/0-Mini that works fine thru the RRC-1258 box.

However, I would like to run the control head using N1MM
on my end of the connection.  Plugging in the USB cable
on the side of the control head creates TWO "USB Serial Ports" (not COM
ports).
I'm told that they need a special driver file to make them into COM ports.
Does anyone have any input on this?
