Antennas:
80m - 1/4 wave slopers below the yagis
40m - Cushcraft 40-2CD at 58 ft
20m - 3 el yagi at 58 ft
15m - 4 el yagi at 58 ft

(Three AB-577's for the monobanders)
The monobanders are all temporary for the contest.

Conditions were not that great. Ten meters just wouldn't open to all of
Europe. Mostly EA and southern Europe. Fifteen was my money band. The
opening
was long and deep although I never heard Zone 21, 22, or east Africa. I
missed
quite a few zones. I did quite well on 80 meters as the band was very
quiet.
The surprise of the weekend was an 80m LP contact with OG5B who answered my
CQ
at sunrise. I took more time off that I have in the past. Just getting
older!

One of my irritants this weekend was the frequency of losing spots on
telnet. I
spent about half the weekend without spots. I still haven't figured out
why as I showed connected to KM3T but not getting them. Otherwise
everything
worked. It took several days to get the antennas ready and they all worked
fine. The exception was the 3 el 20m yagi. The rotator worked before I
raised
it but wouldn't work once in the air. I had to lower it and found a plug
not properly seated. I then had to raise it again and it worked fine.

I keep thinking that our age should be a multiplier! Despite that these
contests are still a lot of fun.
