                   CQ Worldwide DX Contest, CW - 2025 Call: W6PHOperator(s): W6PHStation: W6PH Class: SO(A)AB HPQTH: Lone Pine CAOperating Time (hrs): 35.2 Summary:Band  QSOs  Zones  Countries------------------------------  160:    0    0        0  80:  114    23      39  40:  282    31      89  20:  241    30      94  15:  735    33      107  10:  394    27      76------------------------------Total: 1766  144      405  Total Score = 2,723,040 Club: Southern California Contest Club Comments: SO1R K3S SPE 1.3K DXLogAntennas:80m - 1/4 wave slopers below the yagis40m - Cushcraft 40-2CD at 58 ft20m - 3 el yagi at 58 ft15m - 4 el yagi at 58 ft10m - Cushcraft A3S at 40 ft(Three AB-577's for the monobanders)The monobanders are all temporary for the contest. Conditions were not that great.  Ten meters just wouldn't open to all ofEurope.  Mostly EA and southern Europe.  Fifteen was my money band.  The openingwas long and deep although I never heard Zone 21, 22, or east Africa.  I missedquite a few zones.  I did quite well on 80 meters as the band was very quiet.The surprise of the weekend was an 80m LP contact with OG5B who answered my CQat sunrise.  I took more time off that I have in the past.  Just getting older! One of my irritants this weekend was the frequency of losing spots on telnet.  Ispent about half the weekend without spots.  I still haven't figured outwhy as I showed connected to KM3T but not getting them.  Otherwise everythingworked.  It took several days to get the antennas ready and they all workedfine.  The exception was the 3 el 20m yagi.  The rotator worked before I raisedit but wouldn't work once in the air.  I had to lower it and found a plugnot properly seated.  I then had to raise it again and it worked fine. I keep thinking that our age should be a multiplier!  Despite that thesecontests are still a lot of fun. Kurt W6PH  Posted using 3830 Score Submittal Forms at: http://www.3830scores.com/
