Thanks to Larry, K6RO, for the use of his Maine station. This was supposed
to be a three op M/S, but it turns out that Larry kept winning in a tennis
tournament over the weekend and had no time to play radio! That left it up
to K1TR and myself. There seemed to be a lot of activity when the band
opened, but it opened late and closed early. Working the close in states is
difficult on 10M. We managed WAS (except for DC) on CW, but missed many on
SSB, as we didn't focus too much on SSB. I had to spend time to actually
search for a microphone to use! The last state on CW was WV and I had seen
N8II spotted many times but he was barely above the noise. I tried one last
time Sunday afternoon (during the Patriots football game halftime) and was
rewarded with the final state. All operations were remote using K4 & K4/0
to K4/KPA1500. Thanks for the Qs.
