Comments:

I had a radio club board meeting Saturday morning, and did not get on the air until 10:15am local. Started at Summit House, Fullerton for DM13, and had good
opening to Texas. For a brief moment, had double hop to VE3 and W8, but could not complete QSOs on CW. I stayed there 2 hours, which in retrospect was too
long. I could have re-worked the Texans for mults in DM14.
Got out to DM14 and back on the air in only 45 minutes. 6m had closed, and it was very slow going. By 2PM it was clear that all the activity dried up. With temps around 90 degrees, I decided to QRT, rather than rove to other grids where I might not have made more contacts. I returned home, and put DXmaps on my TV, in case 6m opened, which it didn't.
This was an interesting experiment. The old-school contesting style was fun until the activity died.

Thanks to the SCCC locals that came out to participate!
