Comments:

I operated from a cabin in the mountains of southern Utah to add Zone 4 to
my worked-from list.  My antennas were simple and low: a compact trap dipole
about ten feet off the ground for 20 through 10 and a 40m inverted V with
the apex at 18 feet.

Unlike at home, the noise level was nil, and I heard an enormous number of
stations on 40 through 10. 80m was pretty dead due to my non-resonant
antenna, band conditions, or both.  Europe on 40m was strong as the sunrise
crept westward over the continent  10 meters was amazing, with activity all
the way past 29 MHz.  My operation was 100% S&P; my minimalist antennas
meant I could not CQ effectively and was usually the last to work a pile-up
station.  Still, it was loads of fun, and I sure appreciate those who took
the time to work me.  Oh, and congratulations to Marko N5ZO for now having
worked this contest from all 40 zones!

73,

Marty N6VI
