Hi Chris,

Maybe the instructions forgot to tell you to set up your rig? You will
certainly need to select the CW function to get the side tone, and probably
also set break-in (or semi break-in) keying to get it to transmit. Simple,
but it has caught me out once or twice!

Subject: [SD-User] SD Parallel keying - No signal to radio

| Can anybody help...?
|
| I got myself a ready made parallel port cable, fitted according to the
| instructions with transistor and resistor, in order to handle keying
output
| from logging programs. I have checked the unit as per the accompanying
| instructions, and it seems to be in good shape.
|
| However I do not get any CW generated on my radio (yes, the LPT1 output is
| connected to the straight key socket) neither from SD nor DXbase. The PC
| parallel port works fine otherwise for exsternal disk-station as well as
with
| printers.
|
| Is there something I am not aware of? I would appreciate any guidance.
|

| Chris
