I am using SD in CW contests with the keyer. My transceiver is connected =
to the computer trough the parallel port. One of the keyer memories is =
reserved for my answer when somebody answers my CQ. The code I use in =
this memory is as follows:
#C #T #S
The problem is that the system does a long three seconds pause after =
keying the logged call (#C). During the pause, the label "CW keyer, Esc =
to quit" is shown. After the pause, the 599 (#T) and the serial number =
(#S) are sent but, because the long pause, most of the operators think =
that I am having some problem and they send again their call.
My computer is a laptop Toshiba Pentium 133 with 32 Mbytes RAM and =
Windows 95.
Anybody knows how to fix the problem? All other functionalities work =
fine.
Regards.
Luis
