The Russian DX Contest takes place from 1200 UTC Saturday 19th March to
1159 UTC Sunday 20th March. Full rules at http://www.rdxc.org/rulesg.asp
There's something for everyone in this event. If you're working all
bands (10 - 160m), you have the choice of CW-only, SSB-only or mixed-
mode. If you're operating single-band, the only category is mixed.
However, in "single" band, you may enter any 2 bands, say 10m and 80m,
and have them both count towards awards.
SD directly supports this contest. It runs on any Windows PC and is
freeware from www.ei5di.com.

If mixed -
Mults count on
both modes? : N
Work same station
on both modes? : Y
Send and receive 59(9) + Serial, except that Russian stations
send their 2-letter oblast code instead of serial. NOTE: SD
auto-fills the appropriate code before you finish entering any
Russian callsign.
Note that there is a 10-minute rule. If you change bands and have
QSOs within 10 minutes of the first QSO on the initial band, you'll
not get points for those QSOs.
Multipliers: Each DXCC country and each Russian oblast count
once per band - regardless of mode.
Known bugs in SD - they may be fixed before the contest.
1. QSOs with calls beginning with R0Q will have SH inserted as the
oblast. YA is the correct code.
2. SD's #N (name) parameter is not working in the keyer memories.
After the contest, use SDCHECK, Option 1, to create your Cabrillo
.LOG file. Rename it to YOURCALL.LOG, and email it as an attached
file to RusDXC at contesting.com.
